Flashback Four: The Lincoln Project

by Dan Gutman

Boston billionaire Miss Z has created a high-tech smartboard that can transport people to any place and any time. Why? Because she loves photography and wants to capture great moments in history that were never photographed when they first happened. For instance, you’ve never seen a photograph of Lincoln delivering The Gettysburg Address. It’s not that photography didn’t exist in 1863. It’s because The Gettysburg Address only took two minutes to deliver and the photographers didn’t have time to set up their cameras. So Miss Z sends The Flashback Four–Luke, Julia, Isabel, and David–back to 1863 with a digital camera to try and get the shot. And you’d better believe they’ll encounter some obstacles along the way.
