Sarah Albee

Sarah Albee is the New York Times best-selling author of books about history and science for kids in grades K through 8. Recent and forthcoming titles include The Painter and the President: Gilbert Stuart’s Brush with George Washington; Bounce! A Scientific History of Rubber; Troublemakers in Trousers: Women and What The Wore to Get Things Done; Fairy Tale Science; and Accidental Archaeologist: True Stories of Unexpected Discoveries. Other nonfiction titles include a series of six I Can Read Biographies (George Washington, Alexander Hamilton, Martin Luther King, Jr, Jane Goodall, Helen Keller, and Albert Einstein); Dog Days of History; Bugged: How Insects Changed History; and Poop Happened: A History of the World from the Bottom Up. She lives in New York City with her husband, a high-school administrator. They have three grown children. She loves visiting schools and presenting to kids of all ages.
