Paul Jacobs
Growing up, Paul liked to build things. For many years, he worked as a carpenter. Today he uses that know-how to construct stories. Paul got his start as a research assistant to best-selling author Thomas Moore. He then teamed up with musician Pete Seeger for Pete Seeger’s Storytelling Book and the picture books: Abiyoyo Returns, Some Friends to Feed, and The Deaf Musicians, winner of the ALA Schneider Family Book Award.
Jennifer Swender and Paul are a writing team who also happen to be married to one another. They are the authors of many picture books, including the ever-popular My Subway Ride and Fire Drill. Their newest chapter book series is Mack Rhino, Private Eye. They have two kids, as well as a mouse-catching dog and a dogfood-eating cat. They all live in Massachusetts.
