Paul DuBois Jacobs

Growing up, Paul liked to build things. For many years, he worked as a carpenter. Today he uses that know-how to construct stories. Paul got his start as a research assistant to best-selling author Thomas Moore. He then teamed up with musician Pete Seeger for Pete Seeger’s Storytelling Book and the picture books: Abiyoyo Returns, Some Friends to Feed, and The Deaf Musicians, winner of the ALA Schneider Family Book Award.
Currently, Paul writes with his wife, Jennifer Swender. They have coauthored many picture books, including the ever-popular My Subway Ride and Fire Drill. Their newest chapter book series is Mack Rhino, Private Eye.
