Stephen Shaskan

Stephen Shaskan is the best-selling, award-winning author and illustrator of the graphic chapter book series Pizza and Taco and the creator of many picture books including: Toad on the Road, Max Speed, and The Three Triceratops Tuff. He has also illustrated the picture book Punk Skunks and the graphic chapter book series Q & Ray both written by his wife Trisha Speed Shaskan. Stephen holds a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design and is a former early childhood educator and afterschool art teacher. Stephen loves visiting schools, talking about his books, drawing, singing songs and playing electric ukulele, and encouraging kids to create their own stories. Stephen and Trisha live in Minneapolis, Minnesota with their two spoiled dogs Bea and Murray.
